Keeping Engaged-Giving To Others

Since this C-19 crisis many people find extra time on their hands and anxiety in their souls.  Recently a group of friends introduced me to the "Lakeview Animal Sanctuary" in Pendleton NY. Being an animal lover since childhood, i jumped at the chance to go and volunteer. I spent several hours there and simply fell in love and found myself making plans to return before I even left.

The Lakeview Animal Sanctuary, is a home for old, abused and unwanted animals of all kinds.  The Misson of the Lakeview Sanctuary is a true No-kill shelter and is a Federally recognized 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. They provide a safe haven for abused, abandoned or injured animals.  The donations they receive go directly back into the care of animals.

The Sanctuary is looking for volunteers to help with feed and taking care of the animals and make repairs.  Currently they are in dire need of fencing to expand pens for the horses, goats and pigs.  If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer or donating please contact the Sanctuary. If you are interested in "just visiting the Sanctuary" please contact them directly.  I promise the interactions with these animals will leave you wanting more.
