THE EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK.

The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation & Parks has announced some changes to their annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Pinewoods Park with it now being coined the "Easter EGGstravaganza"  At 10:00am Pinewoods Park will be open at the sound of a loud horn to signifiy the beginning of the egg hunt.  8,000 plastic eggs filled with toys and candy will be distributed throughout the park.  In addition 100 numbered golden eggs will also be hidden.  Golden eggs can be turned in for large chocolate prizes, with the size of the chocolate being determined by the number on the egg found.  Two separate toddler stations (one on each side of the park) will be available for toddler-aged children to look for hidden eggs without the competition of older children intervening.

In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, there will be activity and game stations, petting zoo, and food vendors which include Just Say Cheescake and the Boy Scouts who will be selling hot dogs and refreshments.  Of course picture opportunities with the Easter Bunny will be available throughout the event.

We will be updating this post with more information as it becomes available and finalized, including an activity site map, and detailed description and guidelines for the event.
